Retired Pr. Edgar A. Doering passes away, January 14, 2012

Your prayers are requested for the family of retired pastor Edgar Doering upon his passing January 14, 2012, in Sun City West, AZ. Edgar was born March 26, 1923. He and his wife, Rozell, have been retired in AZ for 15 years.

 

Edgar served four churches: one in Indiana and three in California. After twenty years in the parish ministry he served many years as the director of development and legal counsel working with the aged at California Lutheran Homes.

 

A memorial service was held at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Sun City West January 21. On January 23 more family and friends honored Edgar at his burial service at Forest Lawn, Covina Hills, CA, and at a reception at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Claremont, CA. He was buried next to their son Christopher who preceded Edgar in death in the late 1970's.
