The Minister for Finance of the Grand Canyon Synod manages the accounting of the GCS including the preparation of the monthly financial statements, receipt and reporting of congregational mission support, coordination of the annual external audit, and consolidation of the annual financial mission plan (budget).

Mileage Rates for 2011

The IRS has increased the business mileage rates for 2011. January 1 through June 30, business miles are reimbursed at a rate of 51 cents per mile. Effective July 1 (and until further notice), business miles are reimbursed at a rate of 55.5 cents a mile. Reimbursement for charitable activity remains the same at a rate of 14 cents a mile.
