A Message from Bishop Steve Talmage
In June 2008 the Synod Council formed the Willing Witness Society. We first publicized this legacy society at the assembly and as a result we now have twenty-four members – individuals who have stated that they have planned a gift to one or more ELCA ministries.
I know many of you viewing this have also planned charitable gifts to ELCA ministries from your estates. Attached is an application form that includes the rules for membership. As you see, some basic information is required, but it is not necessary to include details regarding your planned gift. Just printout and complete the application and mail or fax it to us.
By witnessing your planned gift for the future of your favorite ministry(s), you encourage others to both plan their estates, and in the process, to plan charitable gifts from their estates. Will you witness your commitment to others by joining us in the Willing Witness Society?
