LIFE EXPERIENCES:
I served as a principal for 17 years in the public school system. In the role of a principal, I had to ensure that progressive discipline was followed for all employees. I was asked from time to time to serve as an outside evaluator for other schools because I was known to be fair, followed confidentiality laws and protocols, and ensured at the end of the day the standards of the district and our employee contracts were followed. From time to time, I had to either counsel someone to leave the profession or write termination documents. I believe that one can ensure the standards of conduct are followed while treating all individuals with dignity, grace, and respect.
