On Sunday, March 29 from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM, Lutheran Campus Ministry at Arizona State University (LCM at ASU) invites volunteers to participate in a hands-on service event assembling hygiene kits for neighbors experiencing homelessness.
📍 Location: Campus Center, 340 E 15th St, Tempe
Thanks to a grant from ASU’s graduate student government, LCM students have secured supplies and are organizing this effort to serve their local community in tangible, immediate ways.
Participants will:
Assemble hygiene kits for distribution
Help stock LCM’s student food pantry
Support outreach to neighboring churches and local service organizations
This effort is being led by student leader Sean Maseng, alongside a dedicated team committed to living out their faith through service.
Taking place on Palm Sunday, this event offers a powerful connection between worship and action. As we remember Christ’s entry into Jerusalem, we are reminded that discipleship leads us outward—toward humility, service, and love of neighbor.
This project reflects a core Lutheran conviction: that we are freed in Christ not for ourselves alone, but for the sake of others. Acts of service like this are not just charitable—they are expressions of God’s ongoing work through us.
LCM at ASU is creating pathways for students and community members alike to live out that calling.
All are welcome. Come serve, assemble, and be part of something meaningful this Palm Sunday.
