Rostered ministers, council members, treasurers and other congregational leaders across the Grand Canyon Synod are invited to a no-cost online Portico Town Hall on Tuesday, September 22.

The meeting begins at 6:00 p.m. in Arizona and Nevada (Pacific Daylight Time) and 7:00 p.m. in Utah (Mountain Daylight Time). Hosted by the Rocky Mountain Synod and Portico representative Andrea Arey, the town hall will address Portico’s announced 15% base-rate increase for health benefit plans in 2027.

Participants will learn what is driving the increase, how Portico is responding to rising health care costs and what the change may mean for congregations, sponsoring organizations and plan members. There will also be time for questions and conversation.

This is an important opportunity for those responsible for congregational budgets and benefits planning to gather reliable information before making decisions for the coming year. Faithful stewardship calls us to plan carefully for the well-being of rostered ministers, employees and the congregations they serve.

We encourage Grand Canyon Synod leaders—including those in Arizona, southern Nevada and St. George, Utah—to participate.
