Love Our Neighbors: A Fall Cohort for Congregations Ready to Engage Their Communities

As our communities continue to shift and grow, congregations are called to be rooted more deeply in the neighborhoods where God has placed them. This fall, LEAD is offering a new opportunity for teams of church leaders to grow in faithful, community-focused ministry through the Love Our Neighbors Online Cohort.

The cohort begins September 4 and runs through November 13, with five 90-minute sessions meeting from 7:00–8:30 p.m. CT on September 4, September 18, October 2, October 30, and November 13. The cost is $300 per congregation, and registration closes August 15.

This first-of-its-kind cohort will guide participants through four key practices:

  • Digging into Scripture and learning that prepares us for holy listening;

  • Practicing that listening with neighbors around our church buildings;

  • Asking what the Holy Spirit might be calling your congregation into;

  • Experimenting with what you learn together.

You are encouraged to register as a team—whether with current leaders or with a group of curious individuals ready to explore neighborhood partnerships. This cohort offers a structured yet Spirit-led opportunity to explore your community and grow in your congregation’s public witness.
