Are you wondering whether seminary might be part of God’s call in your life?
Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary (PLTS) invites those in discernment to Signs Along the Way, a visit and discernment weekend Friday, March 13 through Sunday, March 15, held in person at the PLTS campus in Berkeley, California.
This weekend is designed especially for people exploring online theological education as PLTS transitions to a fully distributed learning model with in-person intensives. Participants will experience what it’s like to be a PLTS student in programs such as the Master of Divinity (MDiv), MA in Spirituality and Social Change, or Lutheran Studies, while connecting with faculty, current students, and staff.
Throughout the weekend, participants will:
Engage their sense of call and vocational discernment
Experience a PLTS class
Learn what it means to be an online student in a distributed learning community
Build relationships with others who are also listening for God’s leading
Lodging and most meals are covered, and travel assistance is available for those who need it, helping remove barriers to participation.
Signs Along the Way is intended for those in the early stages of discernment, as well as for those who already sense that theological education may be in their future. In the Lutheran tradition, discernment is never done alone—and this weekend offers a prayerful, communal space to reflect on how God may be calling you to serve.
Please note: This event does not include information about TEEM or TEIL. Those referred to those programs should contact Rev. Dr. Moses Penumaka directly for guidance.
