Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Tucson invites the community to step into history during its 80th Anniversary History Walk on Saturday, October 25, at 10:00 a.m. at 1200 North Campbell Avenue, Tucson, AZ 85719.
This immersive experience will bring to life eight decades of faith, community, and service—from the congregation’s earliest gatherings as Tucson’s first United Lutheran congregation to its present-day ministries. Participants will journey through familiar spaces including the Sanctuary, Chapel, gardens, Patio Room, Nursery, and the new Rain Garden, with scenes reenacted by members of the congregation.
The original scenes were written by long-time member Mary Lou Forier, with contributions from a creative team of writers and actors. The project was inspired and supported by Kristen Underwood, an Iowa-based director and playwright, whose guidance helped shape the interactive storytelling format.
The History Walk is open and free to the public, offering an opportunity to witness the congregation’s living story of faith and resilience. Following the walk, former and current members, friends, and leaders are invited to a celebratory luncheon (RSVP requested).
To learn more or RSVP for the luncheon, contact the Parish Office at 520-327-6521 or oslc@lutherantucson.org.
Through this event, Our Saviour’s Lutheran honors God’s faithfulness across generations and celebrates the people who have embodied Christ’s love in the heart of Tucson for 80 years.
