Embark on a Reflective Journey This Good Friday at Mountain View Lutheran Church

This Good Friday, Mountain View Lutheran Church invites you to engage in a profound Time of Meditation and Prayer, guiding you through "The Way of the Cross" from 7 am to 6 pm. More info in this PDF.

This contemplative experience features seven stations set up in the sanctuary, each leading participants on a journey alongside Jesus to the cross. Whether you choose to follow the stations in order or explore them as you feel called, this meditative path promises a moving spiritual encounter.

The stations, adorned with paintings by renowned Christian artist Sieger Köder, offer Scripture readings, meditations, and prayers that contemplate Jesus' suffering and its parallels in our world and personal lives today. This introspective experience encourages participants to reflect on their own burdens and find solace in Jesus' presence.

The meditations, originally penned by Theo Schmidkonz, SJ, and translated into English by Hanna Loehr and Ingeborg Mack, provide a dual perspective: one that delves into Jesus' suffering and another that connects these sacred stories with the realities of our current world.

We welcome everyone to join us in this sacred space of reflection and prayer. Please note that the Worship Center will be available for this event, except during Holy Week Services from 12 pm to 1 pm. Join us at Mountain View Lutheran Church for a day of solemn reflection and spiritual renewal.
