Registration now open for Beginning a Culture of Generosity

Beginning a Culture of Generosity (BCG) is a new and timely program to help guide congregations and provide the necessary tools to run a successful fall appeal. Congregations will receive training online in 6 sessions and 1:1 guidance on an easily implemented program.

Lutheran World Federation leaders meet with Pope Francis in the Vatican

Meeting with Pope Francis in the Vatican on 25 June, both the Lutheran World Federation (LWF) President Archbishop Dr. Panti Filibus Musa and Pope Francis expressed the hope that the 500th anniversary of the Augsburg Confession in 2030 can become common ground on which to strengthen the commitment of Lutherans and Catholics to unity and reconciliation.

Thanks to all who made our 2021 Assembly possible

In this post we try to thank the many people who made our first online assembly possible. We apologize for anyone we’ve neglected. It’s a blessing to have so many who volunteer their time and energy that we can barely count them. We are church together.

We start by thanking all the voting members who took the time to participate, not only on the Saturday of our assembly, but by attending our tech training sessions and informing themselves on the business of our synod. Your leadership is greatly appreciated.
