Season of Creation devotions offered by four heads of communion

Presiding Bishop Eaton and leaders from The Episcopal Church, the Anglican Church of Canada and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada have prepared a series of devotions to observe the Season of Creation 2020, Sept. 1–Oct. 4.

The season, which begins with the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation, is a time to join with the global Christian community in renewing, repairing and restoring commitments to God, to one another and to all of creation.

GCS hosts open conversations about race

A Grand Canyon Synod working team will host four “Open Conversations about Race” on 8/11/2020, 9/8/2020, 10/13/2020, and 11/10/2020, at 6:30-7:45 pm on Zoom. These conversations are a safe and thoughtful space where you and others in the synod can wrestle with questions and talk with each other.

AZ State Capitol ecumenical event responds to systemic racism

Bishop Hutterer joins other Christian leaders at the Arizona State Capitol for an event on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at 8 am, entitled “From Chaos And Crisis To Community In Christ: The Church Addresses Systemic Racism through Repentance, Reconciliation and Restoration.” You can view the event online on the4c.org.

Grand Canyon Synod Office has a new location

We will be located within the same office complex, but in the suite immediately south of our current location.

Our landlord is renting our current space to another tenant, and per our lease agreement, the property management company is moving us to a comparable space and covering our remodeling and moving costs.
