LIFE EXPERIENCES:

My appreciation and love for the congregations, people, and mission of the Grand Canyon Synod is based upon my twenty years as a pastor in this synod. I have been blessed to serve in these ways:

• As dean of the Kino Conference from 2012 through 2017.
  As a team member in the synod-wide introduction of Evangelical Lutheran Worship (2006-2007).
  Chairing the Reference and Counsel Committee for many years, both in the Grand Canyon Synod and in the Texas-Louisiana Gulf Coast Synod.

I have served as an officer on various nonprofit boards, including as President and Vice-President of JobPath, Inc., in Tucson; and as Secretary of the Interfaith Federation of Greater Baton Rouge, LA.

I believe that good governance and procedure are important for any enterprise that seeks to carry out its mission with transparency, equity, public accountability, and accessibility.

I have currently served three years and eight months as the Secretary of the Grand Canyon Synod. I have learned a great deal and will continue to learn more if I am elected to serve a second term.
