I have been a member of LOG Lutheran Church for 23 years .
Graduate of Concordia College, Moorhead, MN with a major in Chemistry and Mathematics and a concentration of courses in religion. M.S. in Chemistry from North Dakota State University, a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Louisville, and completed a program in Higher Education Administration at the Harvard University School of Business.
Professor of Chemistry and Assistant Dean of Students at Concordia College, Moorhead, MN.
Professor of Chemistry and Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Capital University in Columbus, OH.
Professor of Chemistry and Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the College at Augsburg College in Minneapolis, MN.
Interim Dean of the College and acting President at Midland Lutheran College in Fremont, NE.
Interim President of United Lutheran Seminary in Pennsylvania, the ELCA Seminary formed by the merger of Gettysburg Seminary and Philadelphia Seminary.
In addition to the aforementioned, I have held administrative positions in other than higher education institutions, such as Assistant to the President and CEO of Honeywell Inc and nonprofit boards of directors ( Lutheran Social Services, Minneapolis, Minneapolis College of the Arts, Fifth Third Bank, Louisville, KY, and the National Community Foundation Office in Washington, DC).
I also served as President of the LOG Church Council and the Chair of the LOG Strategic Planning Committee and on church councils in cities where I have lived.
