Leaders from across the Grand Canyon Synod are invited to gather for Leadership Day on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at King of Glory Lutheran Church in Tempe, AZ (2085 E Southern Ave.). This gathering is designed to provide space for reflection, visioning, and encouragement as we seek to faithfully follow Christ’s call in our congregations and communities.

The day will feature guest speaker Rev. Anna-Kari Johnson, New Ministry Development and Evangelism Program Manager for the ELCA, who will guide participants through teaching sessions focused on disciple making and practical steps for leaders in all ministry areas. In addition, the schedule includes small group conversations, opportunities for encouragement and renewal, and time to connect with fellow leaders across the synod.

Participants can look forward to both spiritual enrichment and practical tools for ministry leadership. And of course, no Lutheran gathering would be complete without a delicious lunch and good fellowship.

Come ready to reflect, be challenged, and be renewed for the road ahead.
