2026 Synod Assembly Set for Mesa: Who Will Represent Your Congregation?

Save the Date: 2026 Synod Assembly • June 11–13 in Mesa

The Grand Canyon Synod’s 2026 Assembly will gather Thursday, June 11, through Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Love of Christ Lutheran Church in Mesa, Arizona. We will gather under the theme “Rooted in God’s Story,” grounding our shared life in Scripture and the hope God plants in our communities.

As your congregation prepares for annual meetings over the coming months, now is the right time to discern who will serve as your voting members for the 2026 Assembly. Identifying voting members early helps ensure meaningful preparation, shared leadership, and full participation in the work of the synod. Voting members represent your congregation’s voice in worship, discernment, elections, and decisions that guide our shared mission.

We are pleased to welcome our churchwide representative, Rev. Tim Brown, Director for Congregational Stewardship. Pastor Brown will bring updates from our wider church and reflections on how stewardship shapes our life together as followers of Jesus.

We also extend deep gratitude to Love of Christ Lutheran Church, our host congregation, for their continued hospitality in hosting synod assemblies over many years.

Together, may we remain rooted in God’s story as we prepare for this important gathering of the church.
