Arizona Faith Network Highlights Voting Rights, Healing, and Community Safety
Arizona Faith Network (AFN) continues to offer opportunities for interfaith dialogue, civic engagement, healing, and community safety through its latest weekly newsletter.
Upcoming events include the AFN Faithful Voter AZ Committee meeting on Thursday, May 14, focused in part on the Supreme Court decision in Louisiana v. Callais and ongoing voting rights advocacy in Arizona. AFN also invites participants to weekly Monday Meditation gatherings, a five-week summer book series exploring healing and embodiment practices, and an upcoming webinar on managing internal security threats hosted by the Safe Communities Coalition.
Additional featured events include:
“Interfaith Dialogue: Shared Values in American Scripture” on May 28.
Information on the Arizona Nonprofit Security Grant Program, with applications due June 12.
Community gatherings, healing workshops, environmental justice events, and interfaith storytelling opportunities across Arizona.
The newsletter also highlights an article by Paul Rockower reflecting on lessons from Northern Ireland’s Troubles and what they may teach Americans about polarization, conflict, and reconciliation.
As people of faith continue navigating division, fear, and uncertainty, AFN’s work reflects a broader commitment to relationship-building, democratic participation, healing, and shared public life across religious traditions.
We encourage readers throughout the Grand Canyon Synod to explore the full AFN newsletter and consider participating in upcoming conversations and events.
