Cocoa and Carols: A Music for Food Celebration Supporting Navajo Lutheran Mission at Mount of Olives in Phoenix

Mount of Olives Lutheran Church in Phoenix invites the Grand Canyon Synod to an afternoon of song, warmth, and generosity at its upcoming “Cocoa and Carols” sing-along on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. This festive, family-friendly gathering continues Mount of Olives’ Music for Food ministry, blending joyful music with faithful service.

The event will feature Typhanie Monique and Raul Yanez, who will lead participants in beloved Christmas carols, creating space for community singing and seasonal celebration. Admission is free, and a freewill offering will be received to support the Navajo Evangelical Lutheran Mission (NELM), extending the spirit of Christmas generosity beyond Phoenix and into the wider ministry of the church.

Rooted in the Lutheran understanding that worship and service belong together, Music for Food events embody Christ’s call to love our neighbors in tangible ways. Through music, fellowship, and shared giving, Cocoa and Carols offers a meaningful opportunity to celebrate the season while supporting ministry among the Navajo Nation.

All are welcome to come, sing, and share in this joyful expression of faith in action.
