Colorful Faith: Kids 6–8 Show Us the Church Through Their Eyes

As we approach the 2025 Synod Assembly, we continue to share the creative voices of our youngest members through our synod-wide art project, Jesus, Church, and Me. This week, we’re delighted to feature original artwork by children ages 6 to 8, all inspired by our synod assembly theme: “Build Up the Body,” based on Ephesians 4:12–13.

These young artists, just beginning their school years, offer bold expressions of what faith looks like through their eyes. Their drawings and paintings show churches as places of welcome, Jesus as a friend and guide, and the Body of Christ as something we build together—one relationship, one act of kindness, one prayer at a time.

This artwork will be celebrated in two special ways:

  • Displayed as part of a slideshow at Synod Assembly in Las Vegas

  • Printed as postcards gifted to every assembly participant

We are deeply thankful for every child, parent, and congregation that helped make this possible. These images reflect the vibrant, growing body of Christ in our synod—and remind us that each of us has something beautiful to contribute.
