Drumming and Dinner for a Cause at Holy Trinity in Chandler

Join Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Chandler on Saturday, November 21, 2026, for a Senegal-style dinner at 6 p.m.followed by a drum circle at 7 p.m. with Senegalese drummer Dethie Sarr “Pape” Diouf and Dr. Sonja Branch.

Pape will share the traditions and history behind the drumming, offering an opportunity to learn as well as play. Beginners and experienced drummers are welcome, and children are encouraged to participate. If participation is high, drummers may rotate so more people can take a turn.

Dinner is offered for a freewill offering. Drum circle participation costs $10, with an RSVP requested for those who want to play. Listening is free.

Gather around the table and the drum circle for an evening of music, learning, and fellowship in support of our neighbors in Senegal. Sharing our gifts and learning from one another’s traditions offer meaningful ways to live out our faith through relationship and generosity.

Holy Trinity is located at 739 W. Erie St., Chandler, AZ 85225. Invite friends, bring the family, and come ready to enjoy the evening.

Find event and RSVP information on Holy Trinity’s concert page.
