Experience the Majesty of the Organ: Free Concert Series Across Phoenix

Free Organ Concerts in June Feature World-Class Performers and Local Churches

This June, the American Guild of Organists (AGO) presents a remarkable lineup of free organ recitals across the Phoenix metro area, including several hosted by Lutheran congregations. From June 16–19, 2025, internationally acclaimed organists will offer soul-stirring performances in some of the most acoustically stunning sacred spaces in our synod.

Lutherans will be especially excited to note that La Casa de Cristo Lutheran Church in Scottsdale will host Richard Elliott, Principal Organist of the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square, on June 17 at 10:30 AM, and Victory Lutheran Church in Mesa will host Bálint Karosi, Director of Music at Saint Peter’s Lutheran Church in NYC, on June 18 at 8:45 AM.

Additional recitals will be held at Episcopal, Methodist, and Catholic venues, featuring artists such as Emma Whitten, Isabelle Demers, Raúl Prieto Ramírez, and Scott Dettra. A full schedule and artist details can be found at phxago2025.org.

All performances are free and open to the public, with no tickets required. A freewill offering is encouraged at each venue.

This is a rare opportunity to experience the majesty of the organ—often called the “King of Instruments”—played by world-renowned musicians in sacred settings that lift both spirit and sound. As people of faith rooted in music and worship, we encourage congregants and clergy alike to attend and invite others.
