From Faith to the Floor: This Week’s LAMA Action Alerts and Events
Lutheran Advocacy Ministry Arizona (LAMA) continues to equip and mobilize people of faith to advocate for justice, dignity, and the common good. This week’s LAMA newsletter is packed with timely opportunities for engagement—especially as Arizona’s legislative session gains momentum.
This Week’s Action Alert:
LAMA urges advocates to register now for Lutheran Day at the Legislature, taking place Monday, February 23, 2026, from 9:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. (registration begins at 8:30 a.m.). This annual gathering includes a rally, meetings with legislators, tours of the Capitol, and introductions in both legislative chamber galleries. After registering, participants are encouraged to call their legislators and begin building those relationships rooted in faith and public witness.
The newsletter also highlights several important upcoming events, including:

Invitations to participate in the 40-40-40 Lenten Challenge for 2026, supporting ELCA World Hunger, and the Bread for the World 2026 Offering of Letters launch.
In addition, LAMA continues to offer Request to Speak (RTS) trainings, book discussions on challenging Christian nationalism, and ongoing advocacy support for congregations and individuals throughout the Grand Canyon Synod.
As Lutherans, our public advocacy flows directly from our baptismal call to love our neighbors and seek justice. LAMA’s work helps translate that call into faithful, effective action in Arizona and beyond.
