A Financial Partner for the Whole Church

The ELCA Federal Credit Union provides a full range of financial services designed specifically for the needs of the church. As a not-for-profit financial cooperative, it operates in alignment with the values and mission of the ELCA  .

From everyday banking to loans and financial tools, ELCA FCU supports both individuals and ministries in practicing faithful stewardship.

Serving Members and Ministries

ELCA FCU offers:

  • Savings and checking accounts, CDs, and credit cards

  • Home mortgages and home equity loans

  • Personal and ministry loans (including unsecured loans up to $100,000)

  • Workplace banking programs for congregations and ministry staff 

With a strong digital platform, members can access services such as mobile deposits, bill pay, and person-to-person payments, along with 30,000+ surcharge-free ATMs nationwide  .

Supporting Financial Wellness

One of the most impactful initiatives is the Resourceful Servants program, which helps rostered leaders build emergency savings:

  • More than 700 rostered ministers served

  • Over $1 million saved collectively 

Through a partnership with the Mission Investment Fund, participant savings are matched—helping leaders build financial resilience and stability.
