Free Piano Offered to a Congregation—Pickup in Phoenix
A member of the community has reached out with a generous offer that could support the worship and music ministry of one of our congregations.
A Sohmer console piano is available at no cost and is currently located near 39th Avenue and Northern in Phoenix. The piano is described as being in excellent condition, with no known issues affecting its function. While the most recent tuning date is unknown, the instrument has been well cared for and is stored just inside the donor’s front door, making it easily accessible for pickup.
For congregations seeking to enrich worship through music—or perhaps to replace or upgrade an existing instrument—this could be a meaningful opportunity. Music has long been central to our life together as Lutherans, helping us proclaim the gospel, deepen our faith, and gather in praise. As we remain rooted in God’s story, gifts like this remind us of the many ways God provides through community.
Interested congregations should contact the donor directly:
Name: Richard Haaland
Email: richahaa@yahoo.com
Phone: 602-300-4605
Please note that transportation and any tuning or maintenance would be the responsibility of the receiving congregation.
If your community has been considering ways to strengthen its music ministry, this may be a timely and practical gift. We give thanks for the generosity that continues to support our shared life and worship across the synod.
