In the midst of Venezuela’s crumbling economy, Dioany and her family often faced empty grocery store shelves and could not afford even basic school or art supplies. Her parents encouraged her to turn to prayer and entrust her needs to God. Then one day, Dioany received a gift that changed everything—a shoebox from Operation Christmas Child.

Inside the box were meaningful items that reminded her God sees her, knows her heart, and delights in His children. Now, Dioany shares how that small box showed her that the desires of her heart matter to God.

You are invited to meet Dioany Yosuino in person at our Project Leader Workshop hosted by Operation Christmas Child. Come be inspired by her testimony and explore how your own involvement in the shoebox ministry can bless children around the world.

This event is perfect for current and prospective project leaders, congregational volunteers, youth leaders, and anyone passionate about sharing the love of Christ through simple acts of generosity. Whether you’ve packed shoeboxes before or are just learning about this ministry, you’ll walk away encouraged and equipped.

As Lutherans, we believe God works through tangible signs of love—bread and wine, water and Word, and yes, even shoeboxes. Come and see how a simple gift became a sign of God’s faithfulness to a young girl, and how it might become a sign of hope to others through you.

➡️ RSVP now by scanning the QR code or emailing SMAZocc@gmail.com before Wednesday, September 11.
