Grace for Daily Life: Crossings Conference, January 10–13
Pastors and lay leaders across the Grand Canyon Synod are invited to the Crossings Conference, January 10–13, 2027, in St. Louis, Missouri, with both in-person and online participation available. Early bird pricing is available until October 9, 2026. In-person participants will gather at the Pallottine Renewal Center. View conference details and the schedule.
Under the theme “Are We All Right Yet?”, the conference will explore how God’s law and gospel shape faith, vocation, and service to our neighbors. At its heart is a Lutheran distinction: our responsibility to do right in the world and the righteousness we receive freely through faith in Christ. We do not earn God’s acceptance through our service; Christ’s promise frees us to serve with confidence and joy.
Featured speakers include former ELCA Presiding Bishop Elizabeth Eaton, George Heider, Piotr Małysz, and Sarah Hinlicky Wilson. Pastor Matt Metevelis, who shared this opportunity with the synod, especially commends Małysz’s theological work connecting social witness and pastoral care.
For rostered ministers and lay leaders alike, the gathering offers an opportunity to deepen proclamation and connect Sunday’s good news with daily life.
