Voices of the Future: Youth 13–18 Share Their Art and Faith

We close our Jesus, Church, and Me art series with a powerful final gallery: submissions from youth ages 13–18 across the Grand Canyon Synod.

As part of our path toward the 2025 Synod Assembly and its guiding theme—“Build Up the Body” (Ephesians 4:12–13)—we asked young people to show what Jesus, church, and community mean to them. The responses from our teens reveal a rich maturity of faith, emotion, and identity.

Their art explores complex themes: grace and doubt, love and justice, belonging and transformation. Some pieces use symbolism and abstraction; others are deeply personal or inspired by Scripture. These young artists remind us that faith doesn’t just grow—it wrestles, expands, and inspires.

Each piece will be:

  • Included in a slideshow at the 2025 Synod Assembly in Las Vegas

  • Printed as a keepsake postcard for all assembly attendees

To every teen who shared their voice through color, shape, or story—thank you. You are builders of the church today. Your vision helps shape who we are becoming.
