“I AM”: New Bible Study Explores God’s Promise of Presence and Protection
A new three-part Bible study from Gather magazine is inviting participants to explore the depth of God’s name and promise. The Spring 2026 study, “I AM: God’s holy name and promise,” written by the Rev. Hannah Hawkinson, continues with Session Two: “Gate and shepherd: Guiding and protecting us” (John 10).
In John 10, Jesus proclaims himself both the Good Shepherd and the gate, offering a powerful image of God’s ongoing presence. This session highlights two essential promises: guidance and protection. God not only abides with us but moves with us—knowing us, leading us, and holding us through every season of life.
Participants are invited to reflect on how Christ’s voice continues to call us today—especially in times of uncertainty, transition, and discernment.
This study is well-suited for small groups, congregational gatherings, or personal devotion, offering a meaningful way to deepen faith during the Easter season and beyond.
