Join the Candlelight Vigil for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, May 5
On Sunday, May 5, at 5:00 p.m. Arizona time (5:00 p.m. MST/PDT), you are invited to join Women of the ELCA for a Candlelight Vigil in honor of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women’s Day.
This online gathering brings together leaders, staff, and members across the church to pray for justice and healing, using a special liturgy written by Dr. Kelly Sherman-Conroy. Together, we lift our voices and candles in remembrance and solidarity.

The ELCA remains committed to raising awareness about the crisis of violence against Indigenous women and girls, standing alongside Indigenous communities in the call for justice. You can learn more about the movement and how to get involved at the Women of the ELCA website.
As Lutherans, we believe in living out our faith by advocating for justice, protecting the vulnerable, and honoring the dignity of every human being. Please join us as we pray together, bear witness, and commit ourselves to action.
