Join Women Across the Synod for the 2025 WELCA Convention in Phoenix

The Grand Canyon Synod Women of the ELCA invite you to gather for the 2025 Biennial Convention and Gathering on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Faith/La Fe Lutheran Church, 801 E. Camelback Rd., Phoenix, AZ. The day begins with a light breakfast at 8:30 a.m., with the program opening at 9:00 a.m. and concluding at 3:00 p.m.

This year’s theme—Building Relationships—celebrates how Lutheran women connect across congregations, cultures, and continents. The event will include worship, fellowship, and opportunities to learn from inspiring leaders who embody faith in action.

Special guests include:

  • Myrna Wells-Ulland, President of Churchwide Women of the ELCA

  • Pastor Jacqui Pagel, Bishop’s Associate for Candidacy and Faith Formation

  • Connie Phillips, CEO and President of Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest

Registration is $30, which includes lunch, the program, and worship. Voting members from each congregational unit are encouraged to participate in shaping the ministry’s future.
