Lutheran Church of the Foothills Seeks Part-Time Music Ministry Leader

Lutheran Church of the Foothills (ELCA) in Tucson is seeking a talented and collaborative Music Ministry Leader to help shape the musical life of our congregation through worship leadership, choir direction, and collaboration with volunteer musicians.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Organ and/or piano leadership for Sunday worship

  • Choir direction and accompaniment

  • Worship planning collaboration

  • Music leadership for festival and special services

  • Encouraging and supporting volunteer musicians

We are seeking candidates with:

  • Proficiency in organ and piano

  • Knowledge of Lutheran liturgy and hymnody

  • Experience in choral or church music leadership

  • Strong collaborative and communication skills

LCF recognizes that church music leadership can take many forms and is open to flexible staffing models depending on applicant gifts and experience. Candidates interested primarily in organ/accompaniment or primarily in choir direction are encouraged to apply.

Compensation and hours are commensurate with experience, qualifications, and responsibilities assumed. The congregation envisions a combined 20-hour/week music ministry leadership role with compensation around $30,000 annually.
