Lutheran Men in Mission Shares New Resources, Retreats and Fall Opportunities
Lutheran Men in Mission (LMM) has released its Summer 2026 Ambassador-Gram, highlighting new resources for congregational men’s ministry, upcoming retreats and Bold Gatherings, online opportunities for study and fellowship, and a September webinar on legacy giving. Congregations and leaders looking to strengthen ministry with men will find two newly updated resources especially useful. LMM has released a 2026 revision of its Men’s Ministry Guide, originally included in the Master Builders Bible for Men, as well as the new “2X4” series of do-it-yourself half-day men’s retreat resources. The first 2X4 retreat, Jesus’ Call for All of Us, is now available. Both can be found through the Men’s Toolkits on the LMM website.
Other opportunities highlighted in the Summer Ambassador-Gram include:
Legacy Giving Strategies — September 8 at 7 p.m. Central via Zoom. LMM invites anyone interested to learn more about estate and legacy gift planning.
Bold Gatherings — August 15 in Gahanna, Ohio, and November 14 in Golden, Colorado. These gatherings bring men together to hear stories, explore ministries and grow in faith. The November event at Faith Lutheran in Golden may be of particular interest to participants from the Grand Canyon Synod.
One Year to Live retreats — September 25–27 at Tracy’s Camp in Pinewood, South Carolina, and October 23–25 at Camp EWALU in Strawberry Point, Iowa. The retreats offer an intensive men’s weekend experience centered on faith, relationships and living intentionally.
Weekly online gatherings. LMM hosts a virtual book discussion Tuesdays at 7 p.m. Central and Bible study Thursdays at 7 p.m. Central.
Discipleship Course. LMM’s initial cohort is underway in a 12-session online course sourced through Luther Seminary’s Faith+Lead, with applications available for a future cohort.
More resources. LMM also offers its foundations quarterly newsletter and a mobile app, and congregations can learn about becoming connected with LMM through a congregational contact.
These resources offer congregations practical ways to invite men more deeply into Scripture, Christian community, service and discipleship—whether through a local half-day retreat, an ongoing small group or a larger gathering.
