Make Your Voice Heard: Election Day Is November 3
Election Day is Tuesday, November 3, 2026. If you haven’t voted, make your plan now: return your ballot, confirm your voting location, and check the deadlines below. Nevada early voting and Navajo Nation in-person absentee voting end Friday, October 30.
As Lutherans, we understand civic participation as one way to live out our vocation of loving and serving our neighbors. Our votes help shape the communities we share. This final nonpartisan reminder offers practical information for voters throughout the Grand Canyon Synod.
Arizona: After October 27, return your ballot in person
Arizona recommends mailing completed ballots by October 27. If you are reading this in the October 30 newsletter, use an official drop box or designated ballot drop-off location instead of mailing your ballot.
Your completed ballot must be received by 7 p.m. November 3; a postmark alone does not meet the deadline. Sign the return envelope and follow all ballot instructions. If voting in person, confirm your location, hours, and identification requirements before leaving home. Find Arizona voting information and locations.
Nevada: Early voting ends October 30
Early voting continues through Friday, October 30, with hours varying by location. After early voting ends, the next opportunity to vote in person is Election Day, November 3.
Same-day registration remains available during early voting and on Election Day. In Clark County, anyone registering or updating their registration on or after October 21 must vote in person for this election; new same-day registrants vote a provisional ballot.
Mail ballots must be postmarked by November 3 and received by 5 p.m. November 7. Follow the return instructions and allow time for delivery. Review Clark County’s official voting deadlines.
Navajo Nation: In-person absentee voting ends October 30 at 5 p.m.
Registered voters in the separate Navajo Nation election can vote absentee in person at Navajo Nation election offices through October 30 at 5 p.m. Election Day is November 3.
Tribal registration and mail-ballot application deadlines have passed. If you already have an absentee ballot, follow its return instructions. For ballot-return questions or help confirming your Election Day voting location, call the Navajo Election Administration at 1-800-775-VOTE (8683).
Remember that tribal voting requirements are separate from state and federal requirements. View the official Navajo Nation election notice.
Utah: Ballots must arrive by November 3 at 8 p.m.
Utah ballots must be received by 8 p.m. November 3. As Election Day approaches, use an official drop box if mail delivery might not reach your county clerk in time. Review Utah’s election calendar.
If you missed the October 23 registration deadline, you can still register in person on Election Day and vote a provisional ballot. Check the required identification and your local voting location before going. Find Utah election information and track your ballot.
Already voted? Check your ballot’s status and respond promptly if election officials request information. Share these resources with your congregation and help neighbors find reliable voting information.
Our care for one another continues beyond Election Day. For now, take this concrete step: make your plan, cast your ballot, and let your voice be heard.
