New RMP Portal Coming: Save Your Profile by January 10
Pastors and deacons: Download and save your existing Rostered Minister Profile (RMP) by January 10. A new RMP portal is scheduled to launch January 11, when rostered ministers’ access to the previous portal will close. Existing profiles will not transfer to the new system.
The redesigned platform aims to make the call process easier to navigate for rostered ministers, calling organizations, synod staff, and bishops. Developed with input from across the church, it includes revised questions, updated documents, and improved tools for reviewing potential candidates.
The new portal is currently being tested. Planned features include a full RMP PDF for the rostered minister, a shorter profile for call committees and synod review, and additional information available only to synod staff.
What rostered ministers need to know:
Save your current profile. Download a copy from the existing portal before the January 10 deadline. If you previously received an October 31 deadline, the updated final date is January 10.
Watch for training opportunities. Training for rostered ministers and synod staff is planned for November, before Thanksgiving. Sessions will be recorded and accompanied by supplemental resources.
Note the separate portals. The RMP portal is not on community.elca.org. The Candidacy portal will remain there.
The call process is a shared work of discernment as congregations and ministers seek where God is calling them to serve. Preparing now will help support that work through the transition.
Please save your RMP and watch for forthcoming training dates and instructions for accessing the new portal.
