Office of the Bishop Closed for Labor Day

The Office of the Bishop will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2026, in observance of Labor Day.

Labor Day honors the dignity of work and the contributions of workers everywhere. In the Lutheran tradition, we affirm that all vocations—paid and unpaid—are holy callings through which God serves the world.

We give thanks for rest, renewal, and the faithful labor that sustains our communities. The office will reopen on Tuesday, September 8.

God of all vocations, bless the work of our hands and minds. Grant rest to the weary, justice to workers, and gratitude in all we do. Amen.
