Pastor Brian Weinberger Returns Home: Continued Prayers and Gratitude

Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Mesa shares encouraging news on the recovery of Pastor Brian Weinberger. After weeks of intensive medical care, Pastor Brian is now home with his family. His wife, Bekkah, writes:

“Pastor Brian is home now, which has been really wonderful for our entire family. The girls have loved having Daddy back. Our days are filled with various doctor appointments as he transitions from inpatient to outpatient care and we continue to learn more about his long term recovery.”

We give thanks to God for this progress and for the resilience, humor, and steadfast faith Pastor Brian continues to embody. We also give thanks for the many prayers, cards, and gifts of support that have surrounded the Weinberger family during this difficult season. Your compassion has been a sign of Christ’s love made visible in community.

Bethlehem’s special Pastor Brian Recovery Fund was established to assist the family. Donations from across the synod and beyond have provided meaningful care and relief. While the financial support is significant, the prayers and encouragement from the wider church are equally invaluable.

As the Weinberger family continues into the next phase of recovery, we ask for your ongoing prayers—for strength in body, peace in spirit, and hope that sustains. May the God who heals and restores continue to surround Pastor Brian, Bekkah, their daughters, and the Bethlehem congregation with grace.

Gracious God, we give thanks for the progress Pastor Brian has made and for the care of those tending to him. Continue to strengthen his body, uplift his spirit, and fill his heart with hope. Surround Bekkah, their children, and the Bethlehem congregation with your peace and steadfast love. Guide the hands of all who care for him, and let your healing presence be felt in every moment. In Jesus’ name we pray.
— Amen
