Phoenix VA Invites Faith Leaders to Forum on Serving Veterans
The Phoenix VA Health Care System invites pastors, deacons, faith community leaders, and organizational staff to its Faith Leader Forum on Friday, Sept. 11, 2026, at 11 a.m. at the Carl T. Hayden VA Medical Center, 650 E. Indian School Road in Phoenix.
The luncheon and discussion will be held in the Medical Center Director’s Conference Room, D641. Please RSVP by Tuesday, Sept. 1, to Chaplain Joel Larson at joel.larson2@va.gov.
Hosted by the Phoenix VA Chaplain Service, the forum will help faith leaders better understand how they can connect veterans in their congregations and communities with VA health care services and benefits. Participants will receive an update from the Medical Center Director and have an opportunity for conversation and feedback about serving veterans through partnerships between the VA and local faith communities.
Congregations often accompany veterans and their families through many seasons of life. This gathering offers Grand Canyon Synod leaders an opportunity to strengthen that ministry of accompaniment while learning about resources beyond the congregation that can help veterans receive the care and support available to them.
The invitation may also be shared with others in your congregation or organization who work with or assist veterans.
