Phoenix’s Grace Lutheran Hosts Taco Tuesday Fundraiser for Hope Women’s Center

Grace Lutheran Church in Phoenix is inviting the community to gather for food, music, and fellowship while supporting an important local ministry. On Tuesday, March 31, the congregation will host a Taco Tuesday fundraiser for Hope Women’s Center, beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church (1124 N. Third Street, Phoenix, AZ 85004).

For more than 40 years, Hope Women’s Center has provided a safe haven for at-risk women and teen girls across Arizona, offering support, resources, and community for those working to rebuild their lives. Grace Lutheran’s March 31 event is an opportunity to support this work while gathering with neighbors for an evening of connection.

The event will include free food, live music, and community fellowship. Attendees are encouraged to bring full-size donations of body wash, shampoo, and/or conditioner, which will directly benefit women served by Hope Women’s Center.

The evening is part of Grace Lutheran’s weekly “Connections Taco Tuesday” gathering, a spiritual yet relaxed midweek experience that brings people together through music, storytelling, and shared conversation. The gathering emphasizes authenticity, belonging, and community—reflecting the Lutheran understanding that faith is lived out in everyday acts of hospitality and service.

Grace Lutheran is also planning additional community events, including a St. Patrick’s Day gathering on March 17 at 6:00 p.m. featuring Irish music, storytelling, and free food as part of the same Connections series.

Congregations across the Grand Canyon Synod are continually finding creative ways to serve their communities, and events like these embody a core Lutheran conviction: that God’s love is shared through neighbor-centered service and open tables.
