Prayers and Support for Pastor Brian Weinberger’s Recovery
ethlehem Lutheran Church in Mesa has shared encouraging updates about the recovery of Pastor Brian Weinberger following his recent accident and surgeries. Thanks to skilled medical care, steadfast prayer, and his own resilient spirit, Pastor Brian continues to inspire those around him with his positive attitude and humor—even in the midst of numerous procedures that no one would ever choose.
Bekkah, Pastor Brian’s wife, adds:
“Pastor Brian has made some good strides in his long road to recovery from his hip and knee injuries and surgeries. Over the weekend, he had a healing setback in his face and we’re waiting to learn what the next steps will be in that process. We are so grateful for the outpouring of love, support, generosity, and prayers. They mean the world to our entire family.”
To support the Weinberger family during this season, Bethlehem’s council has established a Pastor Brian Recovery Fund for their use and benefit. Contributions may be made payable to Bethlehem Lutheran Church with “Pastor Brian Recovery Fund” in the memo line and sent to:
Bethlehem Lutheran Church: 2745 N 32nd Street, Mesa, AZ 85213
Any funds not used during Pastor Brian’s recovery will be added to Bethlehem’s sabbatical fund.
We encourage the Grand Canyon Synod community to continue surrounding Pastor Brian, Bekkah, their children, and the Bethlehem congregation with prayer, encouragement, and support. We give thanks for every sign of healing and for the love and care shared across our synod during this time.
“Gracious God, we give thanks for the progress Pastor Brian has made and for the care of those tending to him. Continue to strengthen his body, uplift his spirit, and fill his heart with hope. Surround Bekkah, their children, and the Bethlehem congregation with your peace and steadfast love. Guide the hands of all who care for him, and let your healing presence be felt in every moment. In Jesus’ name we pray.”
