Registration Open for Leadership Lab, June 21–26, 2027
Leadership Lab 2027 will take place June 21–26 at Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois. This annual ELCA faith formation and leadership development camp welcomes high school students, young adults, and church leaders from across the country. Registration is now open, with a base cost of $450 and possible discounts.
For more than 60 years, Leadership Lab has helped participants deepen their faith, discover spiritual gifts, and develop leadership skills for service within and beyond the church.
The five-day experience combines worship, Bible study, small-group discussions, service projects, and hands-on leadership opportunities. Participants help plan and lead worship, explore their leadership styles, and build relationships with peers and faith leaders from different synods.
Leadership Lab offers programming for high school students, young adults ages 18–23, adults involved in youth ministry, and other church leaders. Rostered leaders are also invited to participate as a faith retreat.
Hosted on a college campus, the program gives young people an opportunity to experience dormitory life, explore vocational interests, and grow in independence within a supportive Christian community.
Rooted in the ELCA's commitment to inclusion, Leadership Lab welcomes participants regardless of synod, denomination, confirmation status, or identity.
Congregations are encouraged to share this opportunity with youth, young adults, and ministry leaders seeking meaningful faith formation and leadership development.
