Save the Dates: 2026 Synod Assembly and Bishop’s Fall Gathering Announced

The Grand Canyon Synod is excited to announce two major events for 2026, inviting our congregations and leaders to gather around the theme “Rooted in God’s Story.”

Synod Assembly 2026 will take place June 11–13, 2026, at Love of Christ Lutheran Church in Mesa, Arizona. This annual gathering brings together rostered ministers and lay voting members from across Arizona, southern Nevada, St. George, Utah, and the Navajo Nation. Together, we will worship, conduct synod business, learn, and celebrate how God continues to write the story of faith through our shared ministry.

Later in the year, we’ll gather again for the Bishop’s Fall Gathering, scheduled for October 19–21, 2026, at the Franciscan Renewal Center in Scottsdale. This retreat-style event offers a time of renewal, reflection, and community as we prepare for a new season of ministry.

Our 2026 theme, Rooted in God’s Story, reminds us that amid change and uncertainty, our call remains grounded in God’s unshakable promise and the larger story of salvation we share as the body of Christ.

Please mark your calendars now for these key 2026 dates. More details, registration information, and theme resources will be shared in the coming months.
