Serve Boldly: Apply Now for the 2025-26 Lutheran Volunteer Corps Year
Are you—or someone you know—feeling called to serve in faith, community, and justice? The Lutheran Volunteer Corps (LVC) is currently accepting applications for its 2025–2026 service year, beginning September 1, 2025, and continuing through July 31, 2026.
In its 46th year, LVC continues to equip young adults for a year of transformational service grounded in Lutheran values. Fellows are placed in full-time roles at nonprofits committed to social justice and systemic change, while living in intentional community with others who share their commitment to peacemaking, simplicity, and faith-based service.
LVC cities currently include Washington, DC; the Twin Cities; Wilmington, DE; and newly added—Pittsburgh. Applications are open through June 30, 2025, and can be submitted directly via this application link.
Encouragingly, LVC has seen an increase in applicants from ELCA communities over the past two years. We hope many from the Grand Canyon Synod will continue this momentum, inspired by the Gospel call to serve our neighbors and work for justice.
Congregations and leaders are invited to help spread the word. If your ministry or congregation has upcoming events you’d like to share with the broader LVC community, email Shae Agee (she/they) at sagee@lutheranvolunteercorps.org. LVC is eager to support and connect with ELCA communities nationwide.
As Lutherans, we are called not just to believe, but to live out our faith boldly. Lutheran Volunteer Corps offers an opportunity to do just that—for a year, and for a lifetime of impact.
