Simple Ways to Serve: Join LSS-SW in Caring for Our Neighbors
Ways to Show Up for Your Neighbors
Your congregation already shows up in such meaningful ways - through generosity, service, and care for your community. We are so grateful to have you as a Partner in Action.
Here are a few ways you and your congregation can stay connected and continue making an impact alongside Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest.
Become a Connector
Every congregation has someone who helps connect the dots - sharing what’s needed, inviting people in, and helping others take action. We call that person a Connector.
Connectors help their congregation stay informed and engaged with opportunities to serve, give, and advocate for neighbors across Arizona. It’s a simple role, but it makes a real difference.
Support Our Ongoing Drives
One of the easiest ways to support our work right now is through our Amazon Wishlist. When you purchase an item, it ships directly to us.
These are everyday essentials that go directly and immediately to neighbors we serve - including refugees, families, and older adults across Arizona. Many of these needs include hygiene items, cleaning supplies, and household basics that help people stabilize during difficult moments.
Start a Thrivent Action Team
Did you know Thrivent members can apply for up to $250 in funding to support a service project or fundraiser? Thrivent Action Teams are a great way to:
Organize a donation drive
Support one of our programs
Engage your congregation in hands-on service
Whether it’s collecting hygiene items, assembling care kits, or hosting a small fundraiser, this is a simple way to multiply your impact.
