Support for New Ministry Ideas: Watch the Grant Webinar and Apply Today

he Grand Canyon Synod’s Fall 2025 Grant Cycle is now open, with approximately $175,000 in available funding to support ministries across our synod. This funding is made possible by the generosity of congregations, individual bequests, the sale of closed churches, and dedicated partners like the West Valley Lutheran Thrift Shop. These gifts create possibilities for ministry innovation and expansion in alignment with our shared mission.

We especially encourage collaborative proposals between ELCA ministries that align with the synod’s Strategic Plan: Communicate Jesus, Connect People, Create Possibilities. Preference will be given to applications that embody this spirit of connection and vision.

Key Dates:

  • Application period opens: September 8, 2025

  • Deadline to apply: Midnight, Friday, October 31, 2025

  • Funding begins: February 2026

Before submitting an application, we strongly recommend you view the online grant webinar that outlines the process and expectations. Whether you attended live or not, you can watch the recording at your convenience:
