The 831 Experience Brings 48 Hours of Care and a Year of Support to Phoenix

Powered By Love, Inc. will host The 831 Experience on Nov. 13–14, 2026, at First Church UCC in downtown Phoenix, bringing together volunteers and community partners to offer coordinated care and longer-term support for 75 neighbors experiencing homelessness in Maricopa County.

The two-day initiative takes its name from “831”—8 letters, 3 words, 1 meaning: “I Love You.” Organizers describe the experience as a model of “radical dignity” that combines immediate physical care with individualized navigation toward housing, benefits, employment and other resources.

Eight touchpoints of care

During the 48-hour event, participants will have access to eight areas of support: mobile wellness and showers, professional grooming, nutrient-dense meals, primary medical screening, job placement and resources, mental health services, veteran services and assistance with IDs and legal needs, and housing resources.

The first day will emphasize physical restoration and wellness, while the second will focus on one-on-one navigation, including assistance with permanent housing, AHCCCS and SNAP enrollment, veteran benefits and other services. The experience culminates with a community dinner where guests and volunteer Navigators dine together.

Powered By Love says the work is intended to extend well beyond the November gathering. Seventy-five volunteer Navigators will be matched one-to-one with participants, with the goal of creating a bridge from the two-day event to 12 months of continued advocacy, resource navigation and support.
