  • Faith Lutheran Church | 801 E. Camelback Rd., Phoenix

Faith Lutheran Church in Phoenix invites the community to a special afternoon of sacred music and celebration on Saturday, March 7 at 3:30 p.m. as three renowned former organists—Gary Rutherford, Jim Sage, and Craig Westendorf—return to unite their talents in a benefit concert for the restoration of Faith’s historic pipe organ.

This homecoming concert will feature solos, duets, trios, organ demonstrations, piano performances, guest musicians, and more. A reception will follow the performance, offering time for fellowship and gratitude.

Admission is free, and donations will support the restoration of Faith’s historic and magnificent pipe organ, an instrument that has led generations in worship, proclamation, and praise.

For Lutherans, music is not ornament—it is proclamation. As Martin Luther famously wrote, music is a gift of God and a vehicle for the Gospel. Our organs have long supported congregational song, lifted lament and thanksgiving, and shaped the sound of Lutheran worship. Restoring a historic pipe organ is not simply about preserving wood and metal pipes; it is about sustaining the voice of the church for future generations.

This concert offers a meaningful opportunity for rostered leaders, musicians, and lay members across the Grand Canyon Synod to celebrate excellence in sacred music while supporting the ongoing ministry of worship in our shared region.
