What Gifts Has God Given You? Explore Them This July
What does God want of me? How am I called to serve? What gifts has God placed within me?
These are questions many faithful people ask—and this July, the Growing in Faith/Diakonia Program invites participants into a welcoming and practical space to explore them together through the Exploring Your Spiritual Gifts Retreat. View invite as PDF here.
Held online over three Saturday mornings—July 11, 18, and 25 from 9:00 AM to Noon (Arizona Time)—this retreat offers guided conversations, reflection, and activities designed to help participants identify their spiritual gifts and better understand how God may be inviting them into service.
This is not a high-pressure program or a test to “figure everything out.” Instead, it is an opportunity for faithful curiosity, intentional discernment, and joyful discovery.
Participants will leave with a deeper sense of how their gifts might be lived out in congregational life, ministry, relationships, and daily discipleship.
The retreat will be led by Rev. Stewart McDonald, a longtime Growing in Faith/Diakonia instructor who has guided this retreat for more than 30 years. His experience and encouragement have helped many people gain clarity and confidence in their calling.

In the Lutheran tradition, we trust that God equips each of us for service in different ways. This retreat offers space to prayerfully ask: How is God calling me to use the gifts I’ve been given?
