Scholarships available for first-time attendees to Women of the ELCA's Triennial Gathering

The Heidi Gerrish Triennial Gathering Memorial Scholarship is is provided by the Grand Canyon Women to encourage first-time attendance at our Women of the ELCA’s national Triennial Gathering, held every three years. View the scholarship application as PDF or as a Word document.

In 2023, our Triennial Gathering will be in Phoenix from September 21-24, 2023. This scholarship includes a pre-paid registration to the event and $250 is to be used for expenses related to attending.

Installation of Rev. Dan Potaznick

The Installation of Rev. Dan Potaznick will be Saturday, April 1, 2023, 2pm MST/PDT, 3pm MDT, at St. John’s Lutheran Church (7205 N 51st Ave, Glendale AZ 85301). Multicultural Youth Leadership Event (MYLE): 2024 ELCA Youth Gathering

225 volunteers provide 72,000 meals at Fountain Hills Food Pack

Thanks to the generosity of 225 volunteers, the March 2 Fountain Hills Food Pack for “Food for Kidz” provided 72,000 meals for hungry neighbors near and far. Read the full article in the Fountain Hills Times.

The ecumenical activity was organized by New Journey Lutheran Church and supported by Church of the Ascension and Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran. Many other groups and individuals helped provide financing and volunteers including the Northeast Valley Consortium, Fountain Hills Presbyterian, Noon Kiwanis, Thrivent, Messinger Mortuary and Safeway.
