Formerly known as the Evangelical Lutheran Parish Nurse Association (ELPNA) , their current website is at elpna.org but will be moving to lutheranfcna.org.

Ordination and Installation of Luis Ochoa at Holy Trinity Lutheran in Chandler

The ordination of Luis Ochoa will be Saturday, 1/21/2023, 4pm MST, 3pm PST, at Holy Trinity Lutheran in Chandler (739 W Erie St, Chandler, AZ 85225). Rev. Ruben Duran, the ELCA’s Director for New Congregational Development, will preach, and Bishop Deborah Hutterer will preside.

Rostered leaders will process, the color of the day is red. A dinner will follow. The event will be live-streamed on Holy Trinity’s YouTube channel.

Lutheran Social Services of Nevada sets record for Angel Tree Christmas drive

We are very excited to report that we have shattered our old record for our Angel Tree Christmas drive. This year we were able to serve a grand total of 322 children from 139 families! We also served 59 senior citizens that are a part of our Senior Meals Program.

Thank you to Christ the Servant, Living Hope, St. Andrew, Mountain View, New Song, Good Samaritan at the Lakes, and First Good Shepherd.

COVID-19 community levels: 12/28/2022

Apache is our synod’s sole high level county.

Medium level counties include Apache, Clark, Coconino, Gila, Maricopa, Mohave, Navajo, Nye, Pinal, Washington, Yavapai, and Yuma.

Low level counties are Cochise, Graham, Greenlee, La Paz, Pima, Santa Cruz, and Yuma.
