Books for Fatick: $6,100 Raised for Students and Teachers

The 2026 Books for Fatick drive raised $6,100 for Martin Luther School in Fatick, Senegal, providing schoolbooks for students again this year and much-needed school supplies for the teaching staff.

The Grand Canyon Synod’s Global Engagement Team shares its gratitude with everyone who donated. These gifts support students’ learning and help equip teachers for their daily work.

As Lutherans, we understand generosity as a response to God’s grace and an expression of love for our neighbors. Books for Fatick offers a concrete way to live out that calling through our global partnership.
